The Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Manager to join our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills in a high-standard dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Operate a POS system and monitor staff utilization of the POS system and provide training
- Arrange for the routine maintenance and upkeep of restaurant equipment and facilities
- Liaise with the Head Chef in formulating supply stock orders
- Monitor retail stock and follow good FIFO procedures
- Responsible for tracking deliveries
- Checks and audits invoices
- Coordinates the services of service suppliers such as fire safety, rodent control, haccp audits, grease trap maintenance and first aid
- Regularly review product quality and discuss with company directors
- Organize staff rosters and supervise shifts
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and Health & Safety regulations
- Ensure a well stocked first aid box and coordinate incident reports
- Control operational costs, monitor waste and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to reach a broader audience
- Monitor and report on restaurant reviews and draft replies
- Manage in-house events and liaise with client, kitchen and suppliers
- Train new and current employees on steps of service practices and teach product knowledge
- Ensure staff conform to company uniform regulations, appearance and haccp
- Implement policies and protocols to ensure the efficient and effective running of the restaurant
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
