Xenon Building Technology Ltd is expanding and is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a full-time field-based role, based from Cork, with work carried out at client sites nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of electronic security and life safety systems.
Salary will be determined by experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Do
- Independently planning and managing your workload with full understanding of project and client requirements.
- Installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance, and upgrades of:
- CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- Intruder alarm systems
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting systems
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers when required.
- Ensuring all works are delivered in full compliance with industry standards and best practice.
- Demonstrating systems to clients and offering professional technical support.
- Carrying out client requirement surveys where necessary and feeding accurate technical information back to the sales team to support proposals and system design
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within the Fire & Security industry.
- Strong hands-on capability across multiple system types.
- Electronic Security Systems Qualification or Electrical Craft Certificate (QQI Level 6 or equivalent preferred).
- Safe Pass.
- Excellent fault-finding ability and attention to detail.
- Confident, professional communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
Role Details
- Location: Munster (ideally South / South-West Ireland).
- Travel: Primarily across Munster, with some occasional travel to Leinster.
- Vehicle: Company vehicle provided.
- Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in the EU (no sponsorship available).
- Licence: Full EU driver’s licence required.
