The Capital Projects team plays a critical role in delivering new buildings, refurbishments, infrastructure upgrades, energy performance improvements and sustainability initiatives across all campuses.
The Capital Projects Intern will provide structured, hands-on support to the Capital Projects Manager and the wider team in the planning, procurement, delivery and monitoring of capital and minor works projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain practical experience in public sector capital project delivery within a complex, multi-campus university environment.
Purpose of the Role
The Capital Projects Intern will support the effective administration, coordination and monitoring of capital construction and refurbishment projects. The role will assist in ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with university policy, governance frameworks, procurement legislation and best practice in project management.
The Intern will work closely with the Capital Projects Manager, Building & Estates colleagues, consultants and contractors, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of capital project delivery.
