KCC Group are a market leader in the provision of supply, installation, and service of the following products: Timber Doors, Steel Security Doors, Door Hardware, Automatic Doors, Movable Walls, Fire Door Inspections, Access Control, Glazing and more.
We are seeking a motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer to join our expanding team. This role offers a varied workload across public sector, healthcare, education, commercial and industrial environments, with excellent opportunities for ongoing training and career development.
The Service Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely and commercially competitive quotations for service, maintenance, repair and small works across the Service Division. This includes hospitality systems, fire door inspection reports, automatic doors, access control, general service works and associated products.
Key Responsibilities
The role will entail travelling between customer sites to do the following duties:
- Installation, servicing and maintenance of Steel Doors, Fire Doors, Door Hardware, Access Control Systems & Automatic Doors.
- Diagnosing faults, troubleshoot issues and carry out repairs.
- Attend to customer call-outs and provide technical support.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections.
- Make recommendations following service visits.
- Complete service reports accurately, professionally & provide solutions.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and industry regulations.
Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification desirable.
- Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours when required.
