Wrights of Howth is a long-established, family-run Irish food business with operations across retail, hospitality, food production and eCommerce. We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team in Howth.
This is a hands-on role involving the safe and timely delivery of products between our locations and to customers. The successful candidate will be trustworthy, organised and comfortable working independently as well as part of a busy team.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering fresh and packaged food products safely and on schedule
- Collecting products, stock and supplies from designated locations
- Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle
- Checking orders and delivery documentation for accuracy
- Ensuring chilled and food products are transported at the correct temperature
- Keeping the company vehicle clean, secure and in good working order
- Reporting any vehicle, delivery or product issues promptly
- Assisting with general warehouse, stockroom or operational duties when required
- Representing Wrights of Howth in a friendly and professional manner
The ideal candidate will have
- A full, clean Irish driving licence
- Previous delivery-driving experience, preferably involving food or retail products
- A reliable, punctual and responsible approach to work
- Good knowledge of Dublin and the surrounding areas
- The ability to plan routes and manage delivery schedules efficiently
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to safely lift and move boxes and products
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking orders
- Flexibility regarding working hours during busy periods
Experience of food handling, chilled deliveries or HACCP procedures would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
