Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to drive business growth across the residential and agricultural sectors throughout Leinster/South East Leinster.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in renewable energy, solar, agriculture, construction products, technical sales, or a related industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping homeowners, and property owners transition to sustainable energy solutions while building long-term customer relationships.
The Role
This is a field-based consultative sales position focused on identifying opportunities, generating new business, and guiding customers through the process of investing in renewable energy solutions.
You will work directly with homeowners, agricultural businesses, and property owners, advising them on the benefits of solar PV systems, battery storage, EV charging solutions, and energy efficiency upgrades. You will be responsible for managing the customer journey from initial engagement through to sale and installation.
This role would suit a commercially driven individual who enjoys building relationships, understands technical products, and is comfortable working independently to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop new business opportunities across residential and agricultural markets.
· Meet with homeowners to assess their energy requirements and identify suitable renewable energy solutions.
· Promote solar PV systems, battery storage, EV charging solutions, and related energy-saving technologies.
· Educate customers on available grants, incentives, and financing options.
· Deliver professional sales presentations and proposals tailored to individual customer needs.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, agricultural stakeholders, and industry partners.
· Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract close.
· Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activity through the CRM system.
· Work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
· Stay informed on industry developments, renewable energy technologies, and government grant schemes.
Candidate Requirements
· Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a sales, business development, or account management role.
· Previous experience within the solar, renewable energy, agricultural, construction, engineering, building products, or technical sales sectors is highly desirable.
· Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to generate and close sales opportunities.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to explain technical solutions in a clear and customer-friendly manner.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory.
· Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
· Full clean driving licence.
Desirable Experience
· Solar PV or renewable energy sales.
· Agricultural sales or farming industry knowledge.
· Construction, building products, or technical sales experience.
· Knowledge of SEAI grants and energy efficiency schemes.
