Wilton Clinic is a modern, purpose built General Practice opened in 2020 to serve the people of Rathnew & Wicklow and the surrounding areas. We offer a full suite of Primary Care Medical Services from ante-natal to older years.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, registered practice nurse to join our clinical team in our recently established GP surgery on initially a part time basis.
The successful candidate should have great interpersonal skills, computer skills and an ability to multi-task to perform standard Practice Nurse duties.
- Set up patient screening and recalls as appropriate
- Undertake professional nursing development and liaise with other health professionals as appropriate
- Maintaining Stock material and medication supplies and ensuring acceptable adequate supplies are at hand
- Work with and ensure that the IT practice software (Socrates) is up to date at all times
- Undertake the following procedures as required - cervical smears (and be registered on the national cervical screening programme as a smear taker), vaccinations, ECG, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, wound dressings, suture removal and phlebotomy.
- Experience in travel medicine desired but not mandatory
- Design and implement workplace procedures
- Perform CDM (Chronic Disease Management) reviews and recalls.
- Address patient complaints in a compassionate and timely fashion
Educational and essential requirements :
- Must be a Registered General Nurse with An Bord Altranais
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applcations -Word and Excel.
- Minimum of 3 years experience post nursing qualification in a similar role.
- Experiences to undertake the following procedures - cervical smears (and be registered on the national cervical screening programme as a smear taker), vaccinations, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, phlebotomy and ECGs.
- Ability to work as part of a team with excellent attention to detail is essential.
