Yard Co-ordinator / Materials Co-ordinator

PMD Formwork is looking to recruit a Yard Co-ordinator / Materials Co-ordinator to manage stock, shuttering, formwork panels and supporting site materials from our yard in Moycullen, Co. Galway.
This is a key role within the business. PMD operates across a number of construction sites, and a large part of our efficiency depends on having the right materials in the right place at the right time. We reuse and move shuttering and formwork panels from site to site depending on project requirements, so strong organisation, planning and communication are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating stock in the yard, planning deliveries to sites, keeping track of materials moving in and out, and liaising with site managers to understand what is needed and when.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate yard stock, formwork panels, shuttering and related materials.
- Plan and schedule deliveries to sites based on urgency, site requirements and transport efficiency.
- Liaise with site managers to understand upcoming material needs.
- Keep track of materials moving between the yard and sites.
- Help ensure materials are returned, checked, stored and ready for reuse.
- Coordinate drivers, deliveries and collections where required.
- Maintain an organised yard layout so materials can be easily located and dispatched.
- Make practical decisions to keep sites moving and avoid unnecessary delays.
- Communicate clearly with management, site teams and drivers.
- Operate or assist with loading and unloading materials where required.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be practical, organised and confident in coordinating people, materials and deliveries. This role would suit someone who can plan ahead, prioritise work, pick up the phone when needed and make decisions.
Experience in construction, formwork, plant, transport, logistics, builders’ providers, agricultural contracting or a busy yard environment would be an advantage.
Requirements
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing with site managers.
- Ability to prioritise deliveries based on urgency and efficiency.
- Practical understanding of construction site requirements.
- Comfortable working in a busy yard environment.
- C Class licence would be a strong advantage.
- Teleporter experience or ticket would be an advantage.
- Good attention to detail in tracking stock and materials.
- Ability to work on own initiative.

Pay: €36,500.00-€41,000.00 per year
