AirconMech Ltd is a leading Mechanical Services Contractor delivering HVAC, Plumbing, Public Health, and Building Services solutions across Ireland and Europe. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and organised Storeman to support our operations by managing site inventory, tools, equipment, and materials. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project teams have timely access to the materials and equipment required for successful project delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery dockets.
- Store materials safely and efficiently in designated locations.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the Procurement Team of replenishment requirements.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect deliveries.
Material/Equipment Control:
· Issue materials, tools, PPE, and equipment to project personnel.
· Maintain a register of company tools and assets.
· Track the movement of materials and equipment between stores and project sites.
· Ensure all issued items are recorded accurately.
· Assist with the return, inspection, and storage of tools and equipment.
Logistics/Equipment Control:
· Prepare materials and equipment for collection and delivery to project site.
· Coordinate deliveries and collections with site teams and suppliers.
· Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as required.
· Support project mobilisation activities across Ireland and Europe.
· Maintain stores and yard areas in a clean and organised condition.
Health, Safety & Quality:
· Comply with all AirconMech Health & Safety policies and procedures.
· Ensure safe storage of hazardous materials and gas cylinders.
· Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within stores and yard areas.
· Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
· Participate in company safety initiatives and toolbox talks.
Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Goods Received
- Goods Issued
- Tool Registers
- PPE Allocation
- Stock Levels
- Support periodic audits and inventory reviews.
- Assist with reporting and stores administration duties as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Stores, Warehouse, Logistics, or Inventory Control role.
- Experience within the Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Construction, or Engineering sector.
- Good knowledge of mechanical and plumbing materials and fittings.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Full Clean Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Forklift Licence/Certification.
- Safe Pass.
- Manual Handling Certification.
- Experience using inventory management software.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Building Services components.
- Experience supporting construction projects.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This role involves manual handling activities, lifting and carrying materials, loading and unloading deliveries, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
