Kitchen Assistant required for a busy nursing home.
Working Hours:
- 30-38 hours per week over 4 days, from Monday to Sunday.
- Kitchen shift hours can fluctuate (8.00am-4.00pm or 8.30am-06.00pm).
- Comprises of weekday and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning: Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; sweeping/mopping floors, and cleaning workstations.
- Food Prep: Assisting with basic food prep tasks, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables/produce.
- Safety & Hygiene: Ensuring strict adherence to food safety standards and proper storage of food items.
- Support: Unloading food deliveries, organizing storage areas, and assisting chefs during service.
- Other: Additional tasks as assigned by the Chef.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant required.
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Clear understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
