The company has experienced significant growth over the last number of years and a position has now arisen for a Warehouse Operative based at their plant just outside Enniscorthy in Co. Wexford
Job Description: The Warehouse operator will be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse, goods in and goods out are managed effectively and efficiently and that food safety and health & safety standards are met on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day to day running of Warehouse. This is a hands on role and manual work will be required.
- Manage all inbound and outbound shipments ensuring accuracy in the recording of all stock movements.
- Ensure accuracy in pick rates and to achieve maximum productivity.
- Manage stock rotation to make sure that no stock goes out of date and the correct stock is picked and dispatched at all times.
- Responsible for coordinating physical inventory counts, taking responsibility for all stocked raw material and product inventories. Check stock shortages and have daily stock checks of “stock outs”.
- Provide regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on KPIs on staff pick rates, stock availability, damages etc.
- Ensure the warehouse and work area are clean and tidy.
- Load and unload deliveries of raw materials and finished products.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse processes and inventory systems.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physically fit – able to lift, move, and stack heavy items safely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately and safely.
- Prepare orders for dispatch according to delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of storage areas, in line with food safety standards.
- Assist in stock counts and cycle checks as required.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding hygiene, safety, and quality control.
- Support production team with movement of materials as needed.
