We are actively seeking to recruit a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer to join our field service team and complete their apprenticeship with us in a hands-on, supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include the following
- Servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems — walk-in cold rooms, blast chillers, bottle coolers, display refrigeration, undercounter units, and remote condensing plant
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new refrigeration equipment for hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, and food service operations
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on client refrigeration systems
- F-Gas leak testing, refrigerant handling, and completion of service and F-Gas records in accordance with EU regulations
- Assisting with service and repair of commercial cooking equipment — combi ovens, fryers, ranges, dishwashers, and associated catering systems
- Maintaining accurate service records, job sheets, and parts documentation
- Delivering excellent customer service on every site visit
- Supporting the team on new projects from installations to handover.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in year 3 or year 4 of a SOLAS-registered refrigeration apprenticeship
- Strong work ethic, punctual, and reliable — this is a field-based role and clients rely on us
- Good practical and diagnostic skills developed through your apprenticeship to date
- A clean, full driving licence (or close to achieving one)
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior engineers
- Good communication skills and a professional manner with clients on site
Training
- You will complete you Full Apprentership Training with the Company
- Additional Training will be provided by Specific Suppliers and Our Specific Training Partners
