About Us
Sound to Light is one of Ireland's leading event production and AV companies, delivering staging, lighting, sound, video and design solutions for conferences, corporate events, awards shows and gala dinners across Ireland and beyond. Trading since 1984, we work from offices in Galway (HQ) and Dublin, and we're proud of the team that makes it happen.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced AV Technician, based out of our Dublin warehouse (Ballycoolin), with strong hands-on knowledge of video and lighting systems. You'll be a key part of our technical delivery team — preparing, installing, operating and maintaining equipment for a wide range of live events, from corporate conferences to large-scale productions.
What You'll Do
● Prepare, test, and pack AV equipment ahead of events, with a focus on video and lighting kit
● Install, configure, and operate video systems (LED walls, projection, switching, cameras) and lighting rigs (moving lights, dimming, control desks)
● Support get-ins and get-outs on-site, working efficiently as part of a crew
● Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and during prep, escalating where needed
● Maintain and organise warehouse stock, ensuring equipment is event-ready
● Work closely with Production and Technical Management to meet event specs
● Represent Sound to Light professionally with clients and venue partners
What We're Looking For
● Solid experience as an AV Technician, with strong working knowledge of video (LED, projection, vision switching) and lighting (moving lights, control desks, rigging basics)
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and live-event environment
● Full clean driving licence (essential); C1/trailer licence an advantage
● Able to lift and handle equipment, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends as events require
● A team player with good communication skills and a can-do attitude
● Sound experience is a bonus, though the focus of this role is video and lighting
What We Offer
● Competitive salary, based on experience
● Full-time, permanent position based from our Dublin warehouse
● Exposure to high-profile events and productions across Ireland
● Ongoing training and development opportunities
● Supportive, collaborative team environment
● Access to industry-leading equipment and technology
