Reports to: Lead Vet/Partner
Salary: €35,000 - €40,000
Are you a people-focused leader who loves creating great client experiences? You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the practice, while supporting and developing our reception team.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a busy veterinary clinic. You will own the end-to-end client experience whilst ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of all front-of-house and client-facing services.
Lead, coach and support the front-of-house/reception team
Ensure a warm, professional and consistently excellent client experience
Oversee reception operations including appointments, client communications, billing and insurance
Support efficient appointment scheduling and patient flow
Handle and resolve client concerns with empathy and professionalism
Recruit, train and develop team members, including managing rotas, leave and performance
Work closely with the Lead Vet and Head Nurse to improve practice efficiency
Support key practice objectives and monitor relevant KPIs
Promote preventative healthcare, including vaccinations, parasite control, Pet Health Plans and insurance
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and health & safety requirements
Help foster a positive and collaborative culture across the whole practice team
About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely cares about delivering a great experience for clients and their pets, while supporting your team to do their best work.
Significant experience in reception, customer service, or front-of-house leadership
Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills
Strong people-management or supervisory experience
The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy, emotionally sensitive environment
Excellent empathy, emotional intelligence and client focus
A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership and make decisions
Experience in veterinary, healthcare, dental or another service-based environment would be an advantage.
