Dairy Farm Assistant / General Farm Worker

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our busy dairy farming operation in the Emyvale area of county Monaghan.
This role requires someone with previous farming experience and with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the farm and work alongside an experienced team in a practical, hands-on environment.
We are open to both full-time applicants and individuals seeking part-time work, with the potential for the role to develop into a full-time position over time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily milking routines
- Feeding and caring for calves and young stock
- General livestock care and animal husbandry
- Monitoring livestock health and reporting any concerns
- Feeding, bedding and handling livestock
- Yard cleaning and maintenance
- Grassland management
- Fencing and general farm duties
- Assisting with seasonal farm work
- Machinery operation and tractor work (where experience allows)
Candidate Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good communication skills
- Previous farming experience desirable
- Full driving licence required
- Experience operating farm machinery an advantage
- Flexibility to assist with weekend work where required as part of a shared rota/shift pattern
