Job Summary:
The Customer Support Manager leads global customer order management, fulfillment coordination, and customer support operations for a technology manufacturing organization.
This role is the primary operational interface between customers and internal teams, including Supply Chain/Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Technical functions. The Customer Support Manager oversees the order-to-delivery process, supports commercial activities, drives process improvements, and leads a team of customer support professionals.
The ideal candidate combines strong customer relationship skills, operational excellence, attention to detail, and experience coordinating complex international supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact, in partnership with local field team representatives, for customer inquiries related to orders, shipments, documentation, and service needs.
Manage customer communications regarding order status, delivery commitments, inventory availability, and operational issues.
Lead customer satisfaction initiatives and drive continuous improvement actions based on customer feedback.
Oversee end-to-end order management activities from quotation through shipment and invoicing.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders in ERP systems.
Partner with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and internal operations teams to support global deliveries and resolve shipment delays, customs issues, transportation challenges, and documentation discrepancies.
Support quotation preparation, pricing administration, commercial documentation, customer pricing records, and contractual pricing milestones.
Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams on customer agreements, compliance requirements, invoicing, and order-related business processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer service, order management, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience leading or supervising a team in customer support, customer operations, supply chain, logistics, order management, or related functions.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
Experience supporting global customers in manufacturing, technology, chemicals, materials, semiconductor, or related industries.
Knowledge of international shipping, export documentation, and customs processes.
Experience driving business process improvement initiatives.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Experience working in highly regulated or quality-focused environments.
