Social Care Support Worker – Residential Services
Role Overview
As a Social Care Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day care to young people in a residential setting, helping to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where they can develop and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people with daily routines, education, and activities
- Build positive, trusting relationships
- Assist with care plans and act as a key worker when required
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Promote a safe, structured, and caring environment
- Follow safeguarding, child protection, and Health & Safety procedures
- Work as part of a team and attend meetings/reviews
- Work flexible shifts (including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers)
Qualifications
- Level 7 qualification (or working towards) in Social Care or a related field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, Health & Social Care)
Experience & Skills
- Experience working with young people (desirable)
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full driving licence (desirable)
- Flexible and reliable
