Optical Assistant Required August 2026
Nolke Opticians are seeking a Fulltime optical assistant. An individual with strong customer service skills to fill the position of Optical Assistant in our busy practice.

Note - Optical assistant work involves significant technical training on optical lens and spectacle selection / fitting / contact lenses and laboratory work. Interested applicants need to understand this is therefore quite different to typical retail, reception jobs.
Essential Duties to include:
- Providing Excellent front line Customer Service.
- Frame selection and eyewear consultations.
- Scheduling Appointments.
- Reception work and maintaining computerised patient records.
- Training will be provided to work in optical lab, frame repairs and lens recommendations.
- Optical experience is very desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Has a minimum of 2 years face to face retail or customer service experience.
- Has completed the Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard of education.
- Can provide a high level of customer service to our customers.
- Possesses Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Can work well within a team.
- Has excellent computer skills with ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Understanding of numbers / basic maths is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From €14.50 per hour
