Browne Brothers Site Services Ltd are leaders in playground construction in Ireland. We pride ourselves in providing our clients a service that covers the whole project spectrum from initial consultation to opening day. We also work on other play projects such as Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs), running tracks and skateparks.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable AutoCAD Designer to join our busy team in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can manage tight deadlines while working on their own initiative. This is an on-site role which requires you to work from our office in Carrigadrohid, Co. Cork, however you will also spend time on the road consulting with potential customers and logging job sites to allow you to create accurate models and designs.
The successful candidate will be a people person who can deal with a wide array of clients, from Council Engineers to Community Associations in a professional manner, while managing inbound queries from prospective clients, our install team, aftercare, suppliers, and preparing quotations and tender documents. Full playground industry specific training will be provided to the successful candidate.
While you will have help from other colleagues, ultimately you will be the only designer in our company, so you need to be able to work on your own initiative and under pressure with strict deadlines due to the nature of the work.

Responsibilities include:
- Designing playgrounds to EN1176 safety standards.
- 3D Modelling of playgrounds to give the customer an accurate representation of the design.
- Creating project presentations for potential clients.
- Conducting site visits to measure with Trimble GPS Logger
- Monitoring eTenders platform and preparing tenders and quotations.
- Monitoring inbound queries and responding in a timely manner
- Liaising with clients in both community groups and councils.
- Becoming a subject matter expert on all aspects of playground design.
Skills & Experience:
- AutoCAD Design –3+ years of experience within the construction industry
- 3D Modelling – experience with Blender or a similar program
- Strong people skills– you will be the main point of contact for all potential customers, so you need the ability to ascertain their needs and use this to create a playground design tailored to their needs.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines on an ongoing basis.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Eager to learn about the playground construction industry and become a subject matter expert on playground design.
- A full Irish driving licence is required for this role.
- Work Location: On site in the office five days per week.
