About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Engineer to join our IT team. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable IT services, and delivering technology projects that enable business success.
The role combines hands-on technical expertise with vendor coordination and project delivery responsibilities. You will work closely with managed service providers, support ServiceNow operations, assist with infrastructure improvements, and help deliver IT requirements for office relocations and new building fit-outs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second- and third-line technical support for infrastructure, systems, networks, and end-user technologies.
- Act as a technical liaison with outsourced IT service providers, ensuring incidents, service requests, and changes are progressed effectively and in accordance with agreed service levels.
- Support the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform and IT service management processes.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects, including server, network, cloud, and endpoint technologies.
- Coordinate and support new office and building IT fit-outs, including cabling, Wi-Fi, networking, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, user equipment deployment, and technology readiness.
- Support the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the organisation's CCTV and physical security technology infrastructure, working with specialist vendors to ensure systems remain operational, secure, and compliant with organisational requirements.
- Assist in the management and support of the organisation's MPLS network and telephony infrastructure, including connectivity, call routing, circuit coordination, fault resolution, and liaison with telecommunications providers to ensure reliable voice and data services across all sites.
- Collaborate with IT Services Manager and other support personnel to ensure timely resolution of onsite technical issues.
- Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement preventive maintenance activities.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability remediation, patch management, identity management, and endpoint protection.
- Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, configuration records, and operational procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity activities.
- Contribute to IT projects and digital transformation initiatives as directed by the Head of IT.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, networking, and endpoint management.
- Experience supporting or administering IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Experience working with managed service providers or third-party technology vendors.
- Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Experience supporting cloud-based services and hybrid IT environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell or similar tools.
- Experience supporting infrastructure deployments, office relocations, or new building technology implementations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Experience in project delivery or coordinating technology change initiatives.

Pay: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
