Finglas & Balbriggan | Full-Time, Permanent
Salary from €50,000 per year, plus performance-related bonus
Northside Motor Factors is looking for an experienced Senior Parts Advisor to join our growing team.
This is a multi-site role covering our Finglas and Balbriggan branches, with you based mainly in Finglas. You will join an established team of five experienced Senior Parts Advisors who take pride in providing the fast, knowledgeable and personal service our customers have come to expect.
As an independent Irish motor factors business, we supply garages, workshops, fleet operators and retail customers. We know that being a good parts advisor is about more than processing orders. It is about solving problems, building trusted relationships and helping customers keep their vehicles moving.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Precisely identifying automotive parts using registration look-ups, electronic parts catalogues and supplier systems
- Handling trade and retail enquiries by phone, at the counter and through digital channels
- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Building strong, long-term relationships with garages, workshops and trade customers
- Understanding customers' requirements and recommending suitable products
- Following up on quotations, back orders and customer enquiries
- Sourcing specialist and non-stock parts from approved suppliers
- Working with suppliers to secure the best balance of price, quality and availability
- Helping to grow sales and develop existing customer accounts
- Minimising credits and returns by making sure the correct parts are supplied the first time
- Processing invoices, payments, returns and warranty claims in line with company procedures
- Working closely with our purchasing, warehouse and delivery teams
- Supporting colleagues and sharing your product knowledge across both branches
- Preserving high standards of customer service, organisation and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
This is a senior position, so previous experience in automotive parts is essential.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience as a Parts Advisor, Senior Parts Advisor or Motor Factors Counter Sales Advisor
- Excellent knowledge of automotive components, vehicle applications and parts identification
- Experience using electronic parts catalogues, registration look-ups, stock management systems or EPOS software
- A commercial mindset and the ability to recognise sales opportunities
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- The confidence to work with experienced mechanics, garage owners, fleet customers and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when identifying and ordering parts
- The ability to stay organised and accurate in a busy working environment
- A positive, practical attitude and a willingness to support the wider team
- The confidence to work independently and make sound decisions
- A full, clean driving licence, as regular travel between our two branches is required
What We Offer
- A full-time, permanent position
- A salary starting at €50,000 per year, depending on experience
- A performance-related bonus
- A company van
- A PRSA pension arrangement
- An employee discount
- The opportunity to join an established and growing independent Irish business
- A helpful working environment with an experienced parts team
- The chance to play an important role in the continued development of our Finglas and Balbriggan branches
