We are seeking a Social Care Worker who is passionate, motivated, and eager to contribute to a meaningful long-term project. You will work within a small, supportive team, providing high-quality care and educational support to young adults with complex needs.
Location: Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow
Hours: 39h/week (Monday–Friday, 8:30–16:30)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
The Door Talent is supporting a centre created by families who wanted to build a meaningful, supportive space for young adults (18–23) with severe to profound intellectual disabilities. In just two years, the project has grown rapidly, supported by the HSE, and now operates multiple centres with a strong ethos of learning, development, and person‑centred care. This is a unique opportunity to join a project with real purpose — and grow professionally as the organisation continues to expand.
The Role
We are seeking a Social Care Worker who is passionate, motivated, and eager to contribute to a meaningful long-term project. You will work within a small, supportive team, providing high-quality care and educational support to young adults with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and two-to-one support within shared rooms (staff never work alone)

Deliver education-focused morning activities and in-house programmes (80% of activities are centre-based)

Promote learning, development, and engagement through structured daily routines

Work collaboratively within a small team to maintain a positive, supportive environment

Contribute ideas, show initiative, and engage in continuous learning and professional development
Requirements

CORE registration (mandatory)

Full driving licence

Strong English communication and writing skills

2–3 years of experience in Social Care or a related field
