The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified Audiologist to join our team in a full-time, on-site position based in Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Audiologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, personalised hearing care and building long-term relationships with clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and audiometric testing, for adults and pediatric cases
- Perform tinnitus evaluations and other appropriate diagnostic procedures
- Interpret clinical results and develop suitable treatment and management plans
- Recommend, fit, program and verify hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Provide follow-up appointments, rehabilitation and ongoing aftercare
- Offer clear counselling and education to clients and their families
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records
- Coordinate with GPs, ENT specialists and other healthcare professionals when appropriate
- Support patient education, community outreach and awareness initiatives
- Contribute to the continued development of clinical services
- Maintain professional, ethical and evidence-based standards of practice
Qualifications and Experience
- A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Audiology
- Full membership of, or eligibility for membership of, ISHAA or another relevant professional body
- Demonstrated competence in hearing assessments and audiometric testing
- Experience fitting, programming and verifying hearing aids
- Excellent communication, active-listening and client-care skills
- The ability to explain clinical information clearly and sensitively
- Strong organisational, record-keeping and time-management abilities
- The ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively as part of a clinical team
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping current with advances in audiology and hearing technology
- Previous experience in community or private-practice audiology is advantageous
