We are currently seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and safety-conscious Leisure Centre Attendant to join our team at The Westport Hotel Group.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring that our leisure facilities provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for hotel guests and leisure club members.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the swimming pool and leisure facilities.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pool and leisure centre users.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow all safety procedures.
- Carry out regular pool and facility safety checks.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the leisure centre.
- Carry out pool water testing and maintain relevant records.
- Provide excellent customer service to members, guests and visitors.
- Assist with reception and general leisure centre duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent recognised Lifeguarding Certificate is essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A strong awareness of health and safety.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a leisure centre, swimming pool or hospitality environment.
- Pool Plant Operator qualification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
