This role is employed by Ardrar Ltd, which operates under separate terms and conditions to Bord Gáis Energy. Together we’re helping homes, farms and businesses cut costs, reduce emissions, and transition to cleaner energy.
The Role
Ardrar Ltd, trading as Bord Gáis Energy, and part of the Centrica Group, is seeking a
Solar PV Sales Executive to support the next phase of transformation as we accelerate our transition to a more sustainable energy future.
What you’ll be doing
As a Solar PV Sales Executive, you will engage with prospective customers, understand their energy needs, and deliver consultative, solution-led sales of solar PV systems. You will work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure each solution is designed to maximise customer value and performance.
You will be responsible for managing the full sales journey from initial enquiry through to close, while delivering an excellent customer experience and achieving ambitious sales targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Convert qualified inbound warm leads into Solar PV sales through consultative selling
- Conduct remote assessments of customer suitability (roof space, orientation, usage patterns, etc.)
- Deliver tailored solar energy solutions aligned to customer needs and financial benefits
- Collaborate with assessment and operations teams to ensure accurate system design and delivery
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and opportunities within CRM systems
- Provide market feedback, customer insights, and competitor intelligence to support business growth
- Stay up to date with developments in Solar PV, energy storage, and wider renewable technologies
Skills & Experience
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience in a sales role (energy, construction, or technical sales experience is advantageous)
- Strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and the transition to net zero
- Proven ability to deliver results against sales targets in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain technical solutions in a clear, customer-friendly manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy pipeline
- Experience using CRM systems and digital sales tools
- Knowledge of the Irish energy market or Solar PV solutions is beneficial but not essential
