Led by an experienced team with over 15 years of industry expertise, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional workmanship, outstanding customer service, and professional installations completed to the highest standards.Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Electrician to join our expanding installation team.The RoleAs a Solar PV Electrician, you will play a key role in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems across residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Working alongside our roofing and installation teams, you will ensure all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing renewable energy company and build a long-term career within one of Ireland's most exciting industries.Key Responsibilities
- Installation and wiring of solar PV systems, including inverters, batteries, and associated electrical equipment.
- Electrical testing, commissioning, and certification of completed solar PV installations.
- Installation and connection of AC and DC cabling in accordance with current regulations.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults on new and existing solar PV systems.
- Ensuring all work complies with Safe Electric regulations, ETCI standards, and company procedures.
- Working closely with roofing and installation teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintaining accurate records of testing, commissioning, and completed works.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Providing excellent customer service while on-site.
Candidate RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Electrician (National Craft Certificate or equivalent).
- Previous experience installing solar PV systems (preferred but not essential).
- Safe Electric Registration or eligibility to register.
- Experience with domestic and/or commercial electrical installations.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Safe Pass certification.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to installation sites as required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with battery storage systems and EV charger installations.
- Working at Heights certification.
- Manual Handling certification.
- Inspection, testing, and commissioning experience.
- Knowledge of current ETCI Wiring Rules and electrical standards.
