Background:
Mezzino Student Living is a rapidly expanding student accommodation operator, managing over 13,300 beds across 52 locations in Ireland and the UK. Since commencing operations in Ireland 6 years ago we have firmly established Mezzino as a major player within the Irish student accommodation sector and are the only company with operations in the university cities of Dublin, Galway, Cork, and Belfast.
We now require a dynamic & confident Residence Manager to join our team with responsibility for managing a new build property that is scheduled to open in South Dublin in September 2027. This role has a start date of 1st October 2026. Applications for this role are open until Tuesday 21st July.
Mezzino Bakers Hall will be a industry leading property located in Dun Laoghaire. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to join at the beginning of the buildings journey and set it up for success in the future. You will have responsibility for building your own team and ensuring the property is fully ready to open it's doors in September 2027.
During the academic year the property will be occupied by students attending full time programmes in various nearby Colleges and Universities and over the Summer months is occupied by students attending language courses and short term leisure guests.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly in to our Operations Manager for Ireland you will be responsible for maximising occupancy levels, maintaining operational efficiency of the site and maximising resident satisfaction and engagement.
You will have specific responsibility for:
- Managing accommodation lettings for both Summer and Academic year.
- Recruiting and managing on-site team.
- Liaising with the student residents, their parents, university personnel and external contractors.
- Ensuring high standards of accommodation are maintained at all times.
- Delivering a customer focused offering and achieving high levels of guest satisfaction throughout the year.
- Maintaining a safe and secure living and working environment for all.
You will be a self-starter, well-organised and able to think on your feet with strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will likely hold a Qualification in Business, Property Management or Hospitality Management and / or previous relevant management experience within the student accommodation / hospitality sector.
Working Hours:
September to May:
40 hours per week, primarily standard office hours with few exceptions
May - August
40 Hours per week, 10 days over 14
