About BuildTech
BuildTech is a Dublin-based Design & Build contractor delivering high-quality residential extensions, renovations, refurbishments, one-off homes and deep retrofit projects.
We are looking for a practical, reliable Working Foreman / Residential Site Lead to take day-to-day ownership of live projects.
This role is suited to an experienced tradesperson who can lead people, plan works ahead, coordinate multiple trades and keep a project moving safely and professionally.
Your original trade may be carpentry, plastering, roofing, blockwork, fit-out, groundworks or similar. You do not need to be a carpenter, but you must have strong general residential construction knowledge and be comfortable leading a multi-trade site.
About the Position
This is a hands-on site leadership role, not a purely management-based position.
You will take day-to-day responsibility for one residential project, from site mobilisation through to handover, with support from the wider BuildTech project team, including technical design, project financial control, engineering, architecture and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the project from site mobilisation through to handover.
- Receive a full project handover and technical briefing before works commence.
- Coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, deliveries and site logistics in line with the project schedule.
- Plan works ahead and coordinate the sequence of trades to protect the programme.
- Ensure labour, materials, access, drawings and site information are in place before works are due to start.
- Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, housekeeping and snagging.
- Identify delays or practical issues early and escalate them before they affect the programme.
- Maintain daily Buildertrend site updates, including photos, progress descriptions, material requirements, delays and next steps.
- Communicate professionally with clients, subcontractors and the BuildTech team.
- Lead by example on site and promote professionalism, quality and accountability in all work.
What We Are Looking For
- A qualified or long-established time-served construction tradesperson.
- At least 10 years’ hands-on residential construction and renovation experience.
- At least 5 years’ proven experience as a Working Foreman, Site Lead or in coordinating multi-trade residential sites.
- Experience of extensions, renovations, refurbishments, deep retrofit projects or one-off homes.
- Strong understanding of residential renovation work sequencing, including live-site constraints and client-occupied properties.
- Strong understanding of health and safety, including site procedures, RAMS and day-to-day housekeeping.
- Full driving licence, current Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
- Comfortable using a smartphone, email and construction-management apps. Buildertrend experience is an advantage.
Pay: €60,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
