Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Project Planner/Scheduler to play a key role during the construction stage of a large-scale CMV project. Reporting directly to the Project Lead, this position will take ownership of planning strategy, oversee scheduling activities, and ensure effective alignment across multiple stakeholders within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive scheduling activities across the full CMV project scope
- Lead or support planning teams, providing direction and structure
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules
- Facilitate planning workshops and coordination meetings
- Engage with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate planning inputs
- Implement and manage earned value reporting systems
- Work closely with project controls and commercial teams
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Track and manage key milestones (tender, contract, and delays/EOTs)
- Coordinate design deliverables with subcontractor mobilisation
- Operate within a multi-user Primavera P6 environment
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in project planning/scheduling
- Strong pharmaceutical project experience (essential)
- Proven experience working within or leading planning teams
- Solid understanding of engineering deliverables and drawings
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential), MS Project, and MS Office
- Experience working in a collaborative / multi-user P6 environment
- Knowledge of Last Planner methodology
- 4D BIM experience (advantageous)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good understanding of project controls and contract interfaces
