As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking Delivery Driver/ General Operative to join our team.
This is a dynamic role that splits time between supporting our manufacturing facility and delivering / collecting components & materials.
Position Overview & Critical Requirement
We are seeking a versatile team player who is equally comfortable handling factory operations and driving delivery routes.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: You MUST hold a full, valid Trailer Licence that permits you to tow heavy trailers. If you do not hold a full trailer licence, your application will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery Duties:
· Safely transport building materials, and equipment to various construction sites.
· Collect materials from suppliers.
· Operate company vehicles equipped with heavy towing trailers in compliance with all road safety regulations.
· Secure all loads properly using straps, chains, and tensioners before transit.
· Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections.
· Assist with the safe offloading of materials upon arrival at sites/ factory.
General Operative Duties:
· Support the fabrication and installation teams with general labour tasks as required.
· Load and unload incoming material deliveries using forklifts or manual handling.
· Working knowledge of relevant tools & equipment (supplied)
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Full, clean driving licence with a mandatory, valid trailer licence. Applications without this will be automatically rejected.
· Proven experience driving with and manoeuvring heavy trailers (reversing, tight spaces, site deliveries).
· Good communication skills and English is essential.
· Ability to perform manual labour, heavy lifting, and stand for extended periods.
· Forklift licence (Counterbalance/Telehandler) is highly desirable.
· Strong understanding of workplace health and safety protocols (Safe Pass / CSCS cards are a major plus).
· Punctual, reliable, and capable of working well both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
