About the Role
We’re hiring a Technical Lead – Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer to support a complex, enterprise-scale business undergoing major transformation. This 12-month rolling contract offers competitive rates and long-term stability.
Sitting within the Infrastructure & Operations team, you’ll provide technical guidance across database reliability, cloud infrastructure, and automation. You’ll lead architecture discussions and ensure the performance, availability, and security of mission-critical database systems in a hybrid Oracle & AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Database Reliability & Performance: Monitoring, tuning, backup & recovery, disaster recovery planning.
✅ Architecture & Cloud Strategy: Lead design discussions on data integration, resiliency, scalability, and recoverability.
✅ Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build, automate, and maintain cloud and on-prem environments.
✅ Enterprise-Grade Operations: Ensure database security, compliance, and high availability in a large-scale business setting.
✅ Mentorship & Leadership: Guide teams, drive best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven Technical Leadership in database and cloud infrastructure.
Enterprise-Scale Experience – complex environments with both business and technical challenges.
Strong Oracle & AWS Cloud Skills – AWS DBaaS, AWS Architecture, and Oracle database expertise.
Hands-on Experience in:
- Database Design & Management
- Cloud Infrastructure & Automation (IaC – Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
- Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Analytics & Monitoring
Certifications in AWS (DBaaS, Architecture) and Oracle are a plus.
