We are seeking a skilled and reliable Solar PV Roofer / Installer to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across residential, commercial, and agricultural projects. You will work closely with our electrical team to ensure systems are fitted safely, securely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Mounting Systems: Install solar PV mounting structures on various roof profiles, including slate, tile, metal, and flat roofs.
- Panel Installation: Safely position, fit, and secure solar PV panels onto the mounting systems.
- Weatherproofing: Ensure all roof penetrations are completely sealed, weatherproofed, and structural integrity is maintained.
- Site Preparation: Review site layouts, drawings, and project specifications to plan the roof array layout accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Work safely at heights, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with on-site electricians to facilitate seamless system handovers.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in roofing, carpentry, or dedicated solar PV installation.
- Roofing Skills: Proven competency working confidently with slates, roof tiles, and flashings.
- Certifications: Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates are essential.
- Driver's License: Full, clean Irish/EU driving license.
- Quality Standards: Familiarity with SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) installation standards is highly advantageous.
