Position Overview
At Eden One, Pro Trainers are more than personal trainers.
As part of Ireland's leading luxury health, fitness and performance club, our Pro Trainers play a critical role in delivering exceptional coaching experiences, helping members improve their health, performance and quality of life through evidence-based exercise interventions.
This role extends beyond traditional personal training. Successful candidates will become an integral member of Eden One's evolving health and performance ecosystem, working alongside physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, strength and conditioning specialists, nutrition professionals and the wider fitness team.
Eden One is preparing to launch its Performance Lab Service; a multi-disciplinary health and performance offering built around gold-standard testing, evidence-based programming and integrated coaching. Within this model, specialist testing and programme design are led by our multi-disciplinary team, while Pro Trainers are responsible for delivering these programmes, coaching members effectively and translating recommendations into meaningful outcomes.
We are seeking ambitious fitness professionals who are passionate about coaching, committed to continual learning and capable of understanding and applying sports science, strength and conditioning and exercise physiology principles in a practical coaching environment.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Training & Member Coaching
- Deliver exceptional one-to-one personal training sessions.
- Coach members safely and effectively towards their health, fitness, performance and longevity goals.
- Implement training programmes prescribed by the Performance Lab multi-disciplinary team.
- Monitor member progression and communicate effectively with the wider MDT.
- Build strong relationships with members and maintain exceptional service standards.
- Support member adherence, motivation and long-term engagement.
Group Exercise Delivery
- Deliver a range of group exercise classes to Eden One standards.
- Create engaging, professional and results-driven class experiences.
- Ensure all classes are safe, structured and aligned with evidence-based training principles.
- Adapt coaching approaches to suit varying fitness levels and member requirements.
- Maintain consistency in coaching quality and member experience across all class formats.
Performance Lab Integration
- Work closely with Eden One's multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of Performance Lab programmes.
- Implement exercise programmes developed through Performance Lab assessments and consultations.
- Develop an understanding of:
- Exercise Physiology
- Strength & Conditioning Principles
- Cardiovascular Training Prescription
- Movement & Mobility Assessment Findings
- Body Composition Analysis
- Recovery & Performance Monitoring
- Assist with member education regarding testing outcomes and prescribed interventions.
- Support data collection, progress tracking and programme adherence.
Gym Floor Operations
- Conduct gym inductions and member onboarding sessions.
- Provide proactive support and engagement on the gym floor.
- Monitor equipment usage and ensure safe training practices.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and professionalism throughout the facility.
- Support the overall operation of the health club and contribute positively to member experience.
Professional Development
- Engage fully with ongoing education and internal training opportunities.
- Remain up to date with current research and best practices in health, fitness, strength & conditioning and performance coaching.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement and professional growth.
- Contribute positively to Eden One's learning culture and high-performance environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Recognised Personal Training Qualification (EQF Level 4 / REPs Level 4 or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience delivering personal training and/or group exercise sessions.
- Strong understanding of coaching, anatomy, cueing, exercise technique and programme delivery.
Desirable
- Degree in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning, Exercise Physiology or related field.
- Strength & Conditioning qualification (ASCA, UKSCA, NSCA, EXOS or equivalent).
- Experience working within a premium fitness, wellness, medical or performance environment.
- Experience interpreting fitness testing and performance data.
- Additional specialist qualifications in mobility, rehabilitation, performance coaching or nutrition.
- Certification in Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates and/or Yoga is desirable
