Requirements for Deli Supervisor Position
- Previous experience working in a Deli or a busy high-pressured food retail environment
- Experience with stock control and ordering food products.
- Good customer service and attention to cleanliness and food presentation.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
Responsibilities of Deli Supervisor Position
- Strong organisational and stock control skills, including ordering fresh food products.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and fresh food displays.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Support the Deli Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy deli, including ready meals, hot food, cold food, and salad bar.
- Supervise 4-6 staff members, organise workloads, and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Work with the Retail Manager to monitor sales, manage stock levels, and reduce waste.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP records are up to date.
- Maintain high standards across all deli departments and ensure staff meet expectations.
- Train and support deli staff to follow procedures and improve department performance.
