Galetech Contracts Ltd (part of the Galetech Group) is a growing construction and renewable energy contractor delivering projects throughout Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with our design teams, clients, site staff, subcontractors, and supply chain partners, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Manage construction, civil engineering, renovation, new-build, modular, and sustainable energy projects.
Coordinate site activities and oversee direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, and statutory authorities.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
Monitor project costs, variations, procurement, and commercial performance.
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
Attend and lead site meetings with clients and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Monitor quality standards and oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
Support the continuous improvement of company systems and project delivery processes.
Minimum 7 years' experience within the construction industry.
Proven experience managing construction and engineering projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site operations.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to monitor project costs and profitability.
High level of competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, etc.).
Strong IT skills and ability to work with digital project management systems.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive projects forward proactively.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Full clean driving licence.
Degree or qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Experience within renewable energy, solar PV, modular construction, or civil engineering projects.
Knowledge of BCAR, Building Regulations, and Irish construction standards.
Health & Safety qualifications such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, First Aid, IOSH or NEBOSH.
