The Opportunity You will be joining a leading Irish building contractor and work as part of the Building Services Department team where you will be supported and provided with the opportunity develop and progress your career in Building Services management.
- Ensure compliance with all Purcell Construction ISO Standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 19650) and manage safety, quality, and environmental practices in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Oversee daily and lookahead management of all technical, engineering, and information requirements, identifying gaps and developing solutions proactively.
- Collaborate with the Design team to coordinate, evaluate, and resolve design, logistics, and delivery issues, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Develop and manage schedules for technical submittals, RFIs, and design coordination to ensure timely progression ahead of construction deadlines.
- Foster strong relationships and promote teamwork among clients, design teams, suppliers, and construction personnel, supporting a collaborative project environment.
- Coordinate with QS and Purchasing Departments to review costs, budgets, value engineering, and widen supply chain opportunities.
- Manage safety, quality, and technical roles (e.g., Appointed Persons, Temporary Works Coordinator), addressing issues related to buildability, tolerances, and document conflicts.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts, support tender processes, manage the BCAR system, conduct CPD training, and oversee site meetings and defect minimization activities.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, with strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 19650), BCAR regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in managing technical information, design coordination, and supporting project delivery through collaboration with design teams, QS, and purchasing departments.
- Skilled in identifying and resolving technical issues and information gaps proactively, with experience in tender processes and value engineering.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and communication skills, capable of chairing meetings, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring quality and compliance in technical documentation.
- Proactive, collaborative team player committed to continuous improvement, safety, quality, environmental standards, and professional development.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a dedicated Technical / Information Coordinator.
- Clear and concise communicator with an aptitude for problem solving and thinking outside the box.
- Talented in the presentation of technical content and proficient in the use of copywriting presentation software.
- Able to work accurately and efficiently while managing owns time to meet critical deadlines.
- Hold a valid driving licence.
