Harold Engineering Ltd is a long-established Irish company (founded in 1963 in Harold’s Cross, Dublin) that has grown into a prominent market leader across various industries including Compressed Air, Garage Equipment, Heating, Dust and Fume Extraction.
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team, focusing on service and maintenance calls across a large existing customer base. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and hands-on support to install, maintain, and repair equipment on customer sites.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requirements promptly and effectively.
- Identify and implement improvements to preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate computerised and manual service records and reports.
- Liaise with service department personnel, suppliers, and customers.
- Report to the Service Coordinator for scheduling and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience in a service environment.
- Industrial experience advantageous.
- Basic electrical knowledge beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work both independently in the field and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites within Dublin and surrounding counties.
- Willingness to work flexible hours in response to reactive maintenance demands.
