Role Overview
North Cork Electrical is seeking a qualified and motivated Domestic Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations on residential new build and refurbishment projects, delivering high-quality workmanship from first fix through to final handover.
This role requires a strong understanding of domestic electrical systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out 1st Fix electrical installations including containment, cable installation, back boxes, and wiring systems.
- Complete 2nd Fix electrical works including sockets, switches, lighting, consumer units, smoke alarms, heating controls, and final terminations.
- Perform Power-Up and Commissioning of electrical installations.
- Conduct inspection, testing, verification, and fault-finding on completed installations.
- Complete project Close-Out activities including certification, final inspections, client handovers, and documentation.
- Identify and rectify snag items to ensure projects are completed to a high standard.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
- Coordinate effectively with site managers, builders, and other trades.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials in good condition.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent North Cork Electrical professionally on all sites.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with National Craft Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience working on domestic new build and refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical installations and testing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Safe Pass certification.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Pay: €48,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
