SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production machinery within Aldar Tissues. The role involves ensuring machinery is operated in accordance with production requirements, maintaining product quality, minimising downtime and waste, and following all company health and safety procedures.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently in line with production requirements.
· Set up and adjust machinery for different products, including assisting with machine changeovers.
· Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain consistent production and minimise downtime.
· Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards and specifications.
· Ensure raw materials are correctly loaded and monitor material usage to minimise waste.
· Identify and report machine faults, breakdowns, quality issues, and other production problems promptly.
· Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance as required.
· Complete production records, quality checks, and other relevant documentation accurately.
· Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised production area and follow all housekeeping standards.
· Follow all company health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe operation of machinery.
· Work effectively with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Management to maintain smooth and efficient production.
· Meet agreed production targets and carry out any other reasonable duties required by management..

SCOPE OF POSITION
The post holder will be expected to work any hours required in the execution of his/her duties. The role does not have line management responsibility.
LOCATION
This position is located at Aldar Tissues, Greenogue Logistics Park, Rathcoole, Dublin.

Knowledge and Experience
· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
· Knowledge of operating and monitoring industrial production machinery.
· Understanding of basic machine settings, adjustments, and changeover procedures.
· Knowledge of quality control procedures and the importance of maintaining product standards.
· Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe machinery operation.
· Experience working to production targets while maintaining quality and minimising waste.
· Basic understanding of routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and fault reporting.
· Experience working effectively as part of a production team, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
Pay: From €14.15 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week
