Kish Fish is a multi-award-winning family seafood business and is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and retail assistant / fishmonger to join our retail team in Howth, West Pier.
The successful candidates will be friendly, hard-working, and customer oriented.
Hours: Full-time, including weekends and bank holidays
Salary: competitive, negotiable, and depending on the experience.
To work in a busy retail environment, includes selling and prepping fish to customers’ requirements. Cash handling and customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Capable to work on own initiative
- Maintaining excellent levels of merchandising on the counter
- Strong attention to detail & Set up well presented fish counter .
- Provide product information and advice to customers across the company’s range
- Deliver a professional and efficient customer service at all times
- Adhere to the excellent food, safety & hygiene standards and HACCP.
- Preparing a range of fresh fish and seafood products for the fish counter and ready prepared meals.
Required experiences:
- Minimum one year sales experience in the fresh food industry or retail environment
- Good communication skills with fluent English
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Food hygiene trained and HACCP trained.
- High level of customer service to represent the company’s good reputation at all times
