Event Management Teacher (Part time remote, evenings)
CMI is a professional education and training institute delivering internationally recognised, QQI-accredited qualifications.
We are expanding our teaching team and are seeking an experienced Event Management Tutor to deliver our QQI Level 6 Event Management programme through live online classes, one night per week.
Classes take place every Tuesday evening from 18.30-21.30.
Course Topics
- Event planning and client objectives
- Venue, fire, safety and insurance regulations
- Event marketing and promotional tools
- Event contracts and negotiation skills
- Resource planning for different event types
- Project management for event planning and evaluation
- Event logistics, crowd management and scheduling
- Health and safety documentation and event plans
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 8 years' event management experience across areas such as corporate events, weddings, festivals or outdoor events.
- Relevant Degree, Diploma or Master's qualification in Event Management or a related field.
- Adult education, training experience or a teaching qualification is desirable.
- Copies of qualifications must be provided.
The Role
This part-time contract involves teaching Tuesday evenings, 6.30pm to 9.30pm, over one or two 10-week terms annually. Full tutor, assessor and learning technology training is provided.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong industry expertise, excellent communication skills and a passion for developing future event management professionals.
