Wexford County Council invites applicants for the following post:
IS Cyber Security Analyst
The IS Cyber Security Analyst will report to the Information Security Project Leader and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of Cybersecurity within the Council.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Information Security Committee and Incident Response Team and will implement security policies and procedures according to best practice, monitor the networks for security issues, investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents and deploy security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure. They will continually develop, implement, test and review the organisation's information systems to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of its data.

Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms have:
(a) (i) A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major awards (i.e. honours degree) or higher in a relevant computing discipline plus 3 years directly relevant, recent ICT hands-on experience*
OR
(ii) A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major awards (i.e. honours degree) with computing taken in the final year and at least 4 years directly relevant, recent ICT hands-on experience*
OR
(iii) A qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major awards (i.e. ordinary degree) or higher in a relevant computing discipline plus 4 years directly relevant, recent ICT experience*
OR
(iv) A qualification at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major award in in a relevant computing discipline plus at least 5 years directly relevant, recent ICT experience*
AND
(b) Have a satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation or the ability to acquire such knowledge.
