About the Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling invoicing, payroll, and other accounting-related tasks. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate tax filings.
- Handle VAT calculations and filings.
- Process payments, reconcile bank statements, and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in payroll preparation and ensure accurate tax filings.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing documents for audits and liaising with external accountants when needed.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
- Payroll Experience: Hands-on experience with payroll processing.
- VAT Knowledge: Understanding of VAT regulations and filing requirements.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping is preferred.
- Tech-savvy: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to Detail: You’re thorough, precise, and committed to accuracy.
- Organized & Efficient: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Integrity: Trustworthy and able to handle sensitive financial data confidentially.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
