Build the HR function of a Leading Building Contractor — your way.
ClearyDoyle is one of Leinster's longest-established main building contractors, and we're hiring an experienced HR professional to take full ownership of HR across the business. This is a standalone, hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Directors — so the systems, processes and culture you build are the ones the company runs on.
The position is based at The Park, Ballinapark, Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow (A67 VY72).
About ClearyDoyle
Now in our 65th year of trading, we deliver residential, design-and-build, conservation and fit-out projects nationwide for local authorities, approved housing bodies and private clients. We operate from our head office in Wexford and our regional office at Brittas Bay, employ over 80 people directly, and are serious about developing our team, our systems and our standards.
What you'll do

- Deliver a structured onboarding and induction experience for every new starter
- Coordinate training and development, including CPD, certification tracking and training needs analysis
- Advise and support managers on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary and grievance matters
- Keep HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook current with Irish employment law
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and our certified management systems
- Support the leadership team with HR reporting, headcount data and workforce planning
- Champion company culture, engagement and employee wellbeing initiatives
What you'll bring
- Minimum 3–5 years' progressive HR experience
- A relevant third-level qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- The confidence to work independently and influence managers at all levels
- Full driving licence and access to own transport, given the office location and travel to sites
Nice to have
- CIPD membership
- Experience in construction, engineering or another site-based industry
- Experience introducing or improving HR systems and processes
What we offer
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
- Permanent, full-time position with a long-established and financially secure contractor

- Company pension, Employee Assistance Programme and healthcare supports
- Ongoing training, professional development and CPD support
