Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Data Analyst with strong IBM Maximo expertise to support the management and optimisation of our client’s utility assets. This role will focus on analysing asset, maintenance, and work management data to provide actionable insights that improve asset performance, reliability, risk management, and operational efficiency.
Working closely with Asset Managers, Maintenance Teams, Operational Stakeholders, and Technology partners, you will act as the subject matter expert for Maximo data analysis and reporting, helping drive data-led decision making across the asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Asset & Maintenance Analytics
Analyse asset performance, reliability and maintenance data held within IBM Maximo.
Develop reporting and dashboards to support Asset Management and Operational teams.
Data Quality & Governance
Assess and improve the quality of asset master data within Maximo.
Identify gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities for data cleansing.
Support governance processes for asset hierarchies, locations and equipment records.
Ensure asset information is maintained in line with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
Asset Management Support
Support strategic asset management and lifecycle planning activities.
Contribute to asset criticality assessments and risk-based maintenance initiatives.
Assist in developing investment, replacement and maintenance strategies.
Provide analytical support for regulatory submissions and business planning activities.
Systems & Process Improvement
Work closely with Maximo support and technical teams to optimise system utilisation.
Support Maximo upgrades, enhancements and data migration activities.
Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes through better use of data and technology.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and management reports.
Extract and manipulate data using SQL and other reporting tools.
Automate reporting processes where possible.
Present data-driven insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Essential
Demonstrable experience working with IBM Maximo.
Strong SQL skills and experience querying large datasets.
Experience analysing asset management, maintenance or operational data.
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management principles.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable
Experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI.
Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.
Understanding of maintenance and reliability methodologies.
Experience of ERP integration environments, particularly SAP.
Experience supporting data migration, system implementation or transformation programmes.
Experience working within utilities, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing or asset-intensive environments.
