Catalyx is seeking a Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join our existing team of specialists in Cork. Joining the largest and most experienced machine vision group in Ireland, you will have the opportunity to excel throughout projects for our extensive customer base in the pharmaceutical, medical device and food beverage industries.
Job Title: Installation and Commissioning Engineer
Reporting to: Project Delivery Manager
Job Summary: The Installation and Commissioning Engineer will be involved in the design, commission validation of machine vision related solutions, primarily for FDA regulated companies.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with customers to ensure proper understanding of the customer requirements.
Design, development, installation, commissioning validation of the vision, electrical, software and automation based elements of the solution at the customer’s site or machine builder facility.
Working entirely within the client standard operating procedures for such projects.
Generate documentation to GMP requirements (URS, FDS, FAT, IQ/OQ etc) when required.
Liaise with internal Quality team to ensure full compliance with solution requirements.
Provide engineering expertise to internal Sales Department at URS and project quotation phase.
Provision of feedback to the engineering team in relation to deployment experience of integrated vision and software solutions.
Working with colleagues in the engineering team to continually improve the deployment capability of solutions as well as focusing on increasing their maintainability.
Review of new vision and related third party engineering solutions as they are available in the market place and where appropriate, make recommendations on such solutions.
Requirements:
Must have at minimum five years relevant industrial experience in an automation role preferably with vision systems.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley based systems and some knowledge of Siemens based systems.
Must demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of a CAD design package, preferably AutoCAD or Solidworks.
Must demonstrate excellent problem solving skills with a can do attitude.
Possess a full clean driver’s license and a willingness to travel to customers sites nationally and internationally.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate an interest in programming and software systems preferably using C#.
The ideal candidate should have a knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases.
Must be prepared to travel
