The Granville Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales & Marketing Executive to develop new business and be responsible for managing the relationship of accounts both local and national in an effort to increase revenue for corporate, leisure, events & conference business. Manage all aspects of sales and marketing activities, ensuring sales resources are used to maximize revenue channels for the hotel.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Meetings & Events
- Proactive follow-up of all M&E enquiries within 24 hours.
- Chase provisional bookings, lapsed enquiries, and past clients.
- Conduct site inspections, client meetings, and Fam Trips.
- Build and maintain a detailed pipeline and conversion tracker.
- Research and target new local meeting & event business. Develop new revenue streams working with HODs (events, charities)
- Track and analyse turned-away business.
- Develop M&E promotional packages and seasonal campaigns.
- Attend networking events and build corporate relationships.
- Liaise with event organisers, DMCs, and corporate agents.
Leisure
- Research and engage tour operators, OTAs, and travel agents.
- Create seasonal and themed leisure packages.
- Build relationships with local attractions and tourism partners.
- Manage influencers and media contacts to promote hotel in local, national and online publications.
- Improve OTA listings, images, and content weekly.
- Convert phone, email, and online leisure enquiries efficiently.
Sales Activity
- Make weekly proactive sales calls and in-person visits.
- Maintain CRM with accurate notes and follow-up actions.
- Prepare weekly sales activity reports.
- Ensure in house upselling activities across all departments.
- Represent the hotel at trade events, local events, showcases and conferences.
Sales activities including but not limited to:
- Sales Trips & Appointments
- Telesales
- Site Inspections
- Corporate Hospitality
- Familiarisation Trips
- Tradeshow attendance
- Local events
- Meet in house corporate clients
Marketing:
- Assist with the creation & implementation of the sales & marketing plan. To ensure the Social Media plan is actioned and that new and creative ideas are continually explored.
- Manage all campaigns - online platforms including website, remarketing, display advertising, social media & PPC
- Manage all social media channels for the hotel achieving maximum results
- Marketing collateral
The ideal candidate for this position:
- Ideally have 2+ years previous experience in a similar sales and marketing role in a hotel.
- Have a full clean driver’s license and their own transport.
- IT Proficient & Ideally knowledge of Guestline PMS.
- Must possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills with a positive outlook.
- Must be standards driven and customer focused.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Must have experience of setting annual sales budgets.
