Experienced Motor Mechanic

We’re a new and growing motor business based in Clonroche, and we’re looking for an experienced, qualified Motor Mechanic to become a key part of our team from the very beginning.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than just another workshop job. As one of our first employees, you’ll have the chance to take ownership of the workshop, play a major role in its day-to-day operation, and grow alongside the business.
Please note: We are looking for a qualified mechanic with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience. Apprentices will not be considered for this position.
About the Role
Our business will specialise in:
- Vehicle servicing
- Brake pads and disc replacement
- General mechanical repairs
- NCT pre-inspections
- Vehicle sales
- Vehicle sourcing for customers
We focus on high-quality servicing and smaller mechanical repairs. Larger jobs, such as timing belt replacements and major engine work, will be outsourced.
As our mechanic, you will:
- Carry out servicing and mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Diagnose faults efficiently
- Manage the day-to-day running of the workshop
- Order and source parts alongside the business owner
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Deliver excellent customer service and workmanship
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified motor mechanic with 2+ years’ experience
- Hard-working and reliable
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Punctual and professional
- Able to work well under pressure
- Organised and capable of taking responsibility for workshop operations
- In possession of a full, clean driving licence
