Hadfield Green is working exclusively with a leading Irish enterprise to source a Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer for a 12-month day rate – fully remote – contract based in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to join a cloud-first engineering team at a critical phase of platform growth, where observability, automation and reliability are front and centre.
The Role
Reporting to the SRE Lead, you’ll be embedded in a growing Cloud Operations function responsible for keeping mission-critical applications running at peak performance, 24×7. The organisation has undergone a significant cloud migration scaling its cloud estate fivefold since 2020 and is now focused on hardening reliability, improving observability and accelerating delivery through automation
Key Responsibilities
- In summary, the role will be part of the SRE team. In addition to supporting AWS and Terraform estate, they also operate and maintain a self-managed observability platform built on Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo running on Kubernetes.
What You’ll Need
- We’re looking for someone who is strong hands-on with that stack, alongside solid AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- A good understanding of SRE principles is also important, including SLI/SLOs, incident management, automation, proactive monitoring, error budgets, alert noise reduction, observability and continuous reliability improvements.
