Wills Bros Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead our nationwide fleet function, supporting major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland.
This is a full-time, office-based role in our Sallins office.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for a fleet of approximately 400 vehicles, driving operational excellence, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across the business.
We are seeking a strong operational leader with proven experience managing large-scale fleet operations within logistics, transport management, construction, infrastructure, or similarly fast-paced operational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of a nationwide fleet of c.400 vehicles
- Leading and developing the fleet department and wider function
- Driving the implementation and improvement of Fleet Management Systems
- Managing driver compliance, safety, and performance
- Ensuring compliance with RSA, TII, CVRT, insurance, and fleet regulations
- Monitoring utilisation, downtime, maintenance, servicing, and fleet costs
- Managing suppliers, leasing providers, maintenance contractors, and telematics systems
- Promoting a strong culture of road safety, accountability, and operational excellence
- Supporting operational teams across multiple live projects nationwide
Requirements:
- A Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a large-scale fleet environment (300+ vehicles preferred)
- Strong background in logistics, transport, construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or similar operational environments.
- Proven leadership and people management capability
Experience Managing:
- Driver compliance
- Vehicle maintenance
- Fleet operations
- Fleet systems and reporting
- KPIs and cost control
Strong knowledge of:
- RSA requirements
- TII compliance
- Commercial vehicle regulations
- Driver safety standards
Experience using:
- Fleet Management Systems (FMS)
- Driver management apps
- Excel and SharePoint
Qualifications
- Degree/ Diploma/Certificate in Logistics Transport Management or equivalent
- Transport Manager CPC Qualification
- Fleet Management qualifications
